Jodie Harris is a commercial photographer based in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. Through 6 Acre Studios, she collaborates with businesses, creatives, and community organisations to craft authentic visual stories that connect and inspire.
Skilled in both studio lighting and natural light, Jodie works closely with clients to translate their values, services, and identity into striking imagery. From personal brands to large-scale organisations, her recent clients include the Australian Red Cross, Jagun Alliance, local government, bodywork practitioners and creative business owners across the region.
Alongside her commercial work, Jodie is also an established photographic artist, maintaining a dedicated arts practice grounded in portraiture, social documentary, and place-based storytelling.
At 6 Acre Studios, each project is approached with care, collaboration and creativity—delivering imagery that’s both purposeful and beautifully human.
What’s your vision?
Hello….
When I was 11, I wrote “Photographer” in answer to that big question—“What do you want to be when you grow up?” I’m one of the lucky ones who grew up and made it real.
Today, I run 6 Acre Studios, where I specialise in commercial and branding photography for small businesses, creatives, and organisations across the Northern Rivers and beyond. With a background in photojournalism, my work captures real moments with authenticity and purpose—tailored to help businesses tell their story and connect with their audience.
Since launching my practice, I’ve photographed festivals, creative workshops, portraits, cultural events, gala nights, and community campaigns. My clients range from local government and not-for-profits to bodywork practitioners, artists, and national organisations like the Australian Red Cross.
I hold a Bachelor of Photography from Queensland College of Art, and I’ve had the privilege of working with international brands, magazines, and inspiring figures in the creative sector. I’m always energised by projects that allow me to meet new people, learn new things, and create visual stories that matter.
